A MODEST TRIBUTE:
WINE DINNER SERIES
We're back with the Modest Tribute Series of Wine Dinners!
As you may know by now The Modest Butcher makes no secret of being inspired by the wines and food around the globe, as well as in our own backyard. With this in mind we are launching four dinners that celebrate some of our favourite cuisines and wines that have inspired our own vision.
This experience is sure to satisfy that foodie or wino in your life. Nothing better than giving someone an experience to remember!
THE LINE UP:
LA DOLCE VITA
MODEST, ITALIAN STYLE
The good life, Italian style. Classic fare with classic wines, si, si, that's amore. Modest Chef Dan Carkner will be serving up the classics paired alongside our estate-grown wines and our favourite Italian staples that have inspired us over the years.
RUST VS MT. BOUCHERIE
BATTLE OF THE WINEMAKERS
Thursday, February 29th
We welcome Rust Wine Co. winemaker Ryan de Witte and Mt. Boucherie winemaker Jeff Hundertmark to host an evening full of friendly rivalry and banter as they put forth their best work. Chef Dan, as always, will be bringing his finest cuisine to the table to complement the wines and keep the wine guys from getting into an all-out brawl. This one promises to entertain!
AMERICA, F*** YEAH!
GOD BLESS THE USA
Thursday, March 28th
Hosted by the one, the only, our cultural attaché, Steven Lane. Join us for an evening of red, white...and blue indulgence as we celebrate the rich tapestry of wines from the shores of the Sonoma Coast to the shores of Okanagan Lake. A blockbuster lineup of buttery Chardonnay, complex and haunting Pinot Noir, and big, bad Cabernet Sauvignon from north and south of the border paired with oozy and opulent cuisine that could only come from one place: 'Murrica. It's a dining experience that even Grandpa Joe and Uncle Don could agree on.
